 This case study demonstrates my leadership and contributions on an end-to-end product concept, including user research, synthesis, ideation, ideation, design, usability testing, prototyping and presentation.

STEP 1 – RESEARCH

PROBLEM SPACE

  •  With the state of the world still remote, it is harder than ever for people to find connections, romance, and love.

Opportunity

  • An app designed to help users attend virtual events based on their identity and interests. Affiniti comes with a built-in personal assistant and ultimate wingman to help you make connections during these live virtual events to find friendship and maybe something more….*wink*wink. Designed as an alternative to the swipe culture of dating apps, Affiniti brings back the fun, possibility, and mystery of meeting people, and letting sparks fly!

STEP 2 – SYNTHESIS

Using our research, our team was able to create a persona and journey maps that gives insight into the user and problem space. We were able to use this feedback along with our market research to determine key features needed to create a proof of concept app: Affiniti.

STEP 3 – IDEATE & DESIGN

Our team went into design studio to create various iterations of the product, beginning with low-fi sketches, leading to a mid-fi wireframe for usability testing.

STEP 4 – TEST & RE-DESIGN

We implemented the feedback from usability testing to create our design system and apply it to a high-fidelity prototype and test it again.
